Disney day 2!!!

Yep you guessed it... more pictures from Disney :)

This was our second day and we went to Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom!!

With Piglet!

and Stitch

This was at the Toy Story Midway Mania ride/game.  This ride as super popular, but we were lucky to get to ride it 2 times in a row with very little wait!!!

Inside the ride was decorated with things from Andy's room, I loved it!!!

Avery rode Rockin' Roller Coaster
and Tower of Terror, this one she was not to fond of!!
This was one of my favorite things that we were able to do, watch the Beauty and the Beast play!!!

By the time we arrived to Animal Kingdom and had lunch, it looked as if it were gonna start pouring any second!!  Luckily it only rained for about 30 minutes... and we had already decided to ride Kali River Rapids, so we were going to end up soaked one way or another!!!

Lunch at Rainforest Cafe!
After lunch we went on a Safari and saw lots of animals!!! I was amazed at how close they would get to the paths and the Jeep we were riding in!!

A few of these guys were almost sitting in the middle of the road!!

This was right before we left, as y'all can see we are all pretty wet!!!

I hope y'all are not sick of Disney yet, more to come tomorrow!!!

The story behind this picture:
We had already seen 4 princesses and I was really worried that we were not going to get the chance to meet Ariel at dinner, so when I saw her walk out I was so excited and relieved to get the chance to meet her!!!  I am not ashamed that I cried, It will be a good story to tell my children when I take them on their first Disney trip!!!

Cupcake flowers!!

Thanks to the wonderful world of Pinterest, I found this super cute craft, and as soon as I saw it, I knew I would have to make it!!  And Amelia's shower was the perfect excuse to whip up a few of these up!!

So... I shall do my best to give y'all step by step instructions on how to make these!!
I promise they are super easy!!

The supplies I used:
1. (any size) styrofoam ball
2. lots and lots of cupcake liners (any color!!)
3. stick pins (make sure you get the ones with the little balls on the ends)
4. a glue gun

After you get all the liners separated and sorted, it is time to get started!!

First, stick the pin in the center of the cupcake liner, then smoosh the liner together so it looks like the picture below.

Next, put a drop of glue on the styrofoam ball and stick the pin in the ball where the glue is, make sure you push the pin all the way in!!

This is the step you will be thankful you bought the pins with the little balls on top!!  I ran out of those pins and had to use the flat top pins, and my poor index finger still hurts!!

Then just repeat those super easy steps until the ball is completely covered (if you are hanging it) or partially covered (if you are sitting them on something.) and YOU ARE DONE (I told you it was super easy!!)

Once I got the hang of sticking the liners and pinning them in the ball, I found that getting a bunch of liners ready and then glue and pin them all at once made making the balls much faster!!

My first one finished!!
I sat mine on large mason jars, so I only covered about 3/4 of the ball!

Just to give y'all an idea of how much to buy, if you are planning on making these:
I made 2 medium balls, and 5 small balls
I used about 300 stick pins in total
For the medium (yellow) balls I used about 80 liners for each ball, and for the smaller (white and green) balls, I used about 60 liners for each ball.

Here are a few pictures of the smaller balls that I used to make the green and white one!!

The final final product sitting on a large jar decorated with a brown paper stripe and a bow made of twine!!

Enjoy!!

Bridal Shower #1... check!

I am finally able to check one of the many showers and parties off my list!!
I feel like we have been planning and getting ready for this shower for weeks, so we were super excited to finally put everything together!!!

We went with a country/green/yellow/rustic theme for this shower and we could not have been more happier for the way it turned out!!

Here are a few pictures of the decorations and the way we set everything up!!

The Drinks!
We kept the drinks simple with blackberry lemonade, peach sangria, a pink cocktail (we made up the name), water, and of course sweet tea!

The Desserts!

We has chocolate cake, cupcakes, lemon blossoms, cookies, rice crispy treats, and lemon and lime bars.  I thought we were going to have lots left over, but thanks to the guys who came when the shower was over, we did not have much desserts to get rid of!!

The Food!
Thanks to family and friends who helped out with the food!!  It was all delicious, especially the ham biscuits!!

a few of the favors!
Each guest was given a mason jar with their name on it to use and to take home!!

The cake!!!
This cake was my baby!!  I stressed over this cake for weeks, but thanks to many YouTube videos and pictures, I think it turned out great!!  In a later post I will show y'all how I got the "ruffled" effect!

cupcakes and lemon blossoms!

flowers!
more flowers!

and more flowers!!
We knew we wanted quite a few flowers, but we also wanted to keep it simple and rustic.  So we automatically thought of daisies and baby's breath!  I loved the way the bunches of baby's breath turned out in the large jars!!

cupcake balls!
And a BIG thanks to Pinterest for the great idea of these super cute cupcake balls!!  I will admit they were a little time consuming, but the final product was worth it!!  Like the cake, I will show y'all how to make these!!

The Bride, bridesmaids, and flower girls!
We had so much fun planning and preparing for this shower!! I cannot wait for her bachelorette weekend and of course her WEDDING!!

I hope y'all enjoyed all the pictures!!
