Cupcake flowers!!

Thanks to the wonderful world of Pinterest, I found this super cute craft, and as soon as I saw it, I knew I would have to make it!!  And Amelia's shower was the perfect excuse to whip up a few of these up!!

So... I shall do my best to give y'all step by step instructions on how to make these!!
I promise they are super easy!!

The supplies I used:
1. (any size) styrofoam ball
2. lots and lots of cupcake liners (any color!!)
3. stick pins (make sure you get the ones with the little balls on the ends)
4. a glue gun

After you get all the liners separated and sorted, it is time to get started!!

First, stick the pin in the center of the cupcake liner, then smoosh the liner together so it looks like the picture below.

Next, put a drop of glue on the styrofoam ball and stick the pin in the ball where the glue is, make sure you push the pin all the way in!!

This is the step you will be thankful you bought the pins with the little balls on top!!  I ran out of those pins and had to use the flat top pins, and my poor index finger still hurts!!

Then just repeat those super easy steps until the ball is completely covered (if you are hanging it) or partially covered (if you are sitting them on something.) and YOU ARE DONE (I told you it was super easy!!)

Once I got the hang of sticking the liners and pinning them in the ball, I found that getting a bunch of liners ready and then glue and pin them all at once made making the balls much faster!!

My first one finished!!
I sat mine on large mason jars, so I only covered about 3/4 of the ball!

Just to give y'all an idea of how much to buy, if you are planning on making these:
I made 2 medium balls, and 5 small balls
I used about 300 stick pins in total
For the medium (yellow) balls I used about 80 liners for each ball, and for the smaller (white and green) balls, I used about 60 liners for each ball.

Here are a few pictures of the smaller balls that I used to make the green and white one!!

The final final product sitting on a large jar decorated with a brown paper stripe and a bow made of twine!!

Enjoy!!
