Wedding Wednesday: Engagements

I promise I will not bore/annoy ya'll with a new wedding post everyday, maybe every other day!!
But I figured I should start from the beginning with our engagment photos!!
Matt popped the question Friday June 29, 2012 in the most perfect way possible!!

Looking back I wish I would have taken more pictures, but of course I had NO idea what was going on!!!

Here is how things went down...

I helped my aunt all day working on my little cousin's first birthday party, and all day Brooke asked me to ask Matt if she could borrow wooden pallets from the farm.  It was about 3pm before I actually asked him and of course he said yes.  So I arranged (in my head) for them to go pick them up while I stayed to work on more stuff.
Then, Matt texted me "Are you dressed to go to dinner?"  I texted him back, asking if nike shorts and a t-shirt were acceptable dinner attire, and he said "Sure, we are just going somewhere in town."  This was not a weird question, because I had been helping Brooke all day and he knew I would be in comfy clothes!
So, the plan was for them to head to the farm, while my uncle, cousin and myself headed to dinner.  When it was finally time for dinner I looked awful!! I was wearing an over-sized tee, nike shorts, hair thrown on top of my head, and day old makeup.  But I did not care, we were just going somewhere in town.
When Matt came to get Brooke, he insisted that I ride with him and Brooke and Jason would meet us at the farm. This did not make sense to me, but I went along with their plans.
*Luckily by now I decided to steal a shirt from Brooke so I did not look completely horrible*
We finallly got to the farm and we were waiting on Jason and Brooke to get there so we just began to drive around until they got there.  We stopped at a patch of string beans that he planted and I got out of the truck so I could get a closer look and Matt followed.  While I was picking some of the beans, Matt said "Well, we did not come here to look at pallets." I turned around and he was holding a ring and then he got on his knee and asked me to marry him!!!  Before he could get out "will you marry me" I was in tears and so super happy!!  I think he took the tears as a bad thing because he asked me if I hated the ring!! Which was NOT true!!  My ring is perfect and so was his proposal!!!

It is funny to look back on the day and see some of the "signs" of what was to come! For example, Although it was one of the hottest days of the summer, Matt was sweating so much!!  It's was kinda gross, but also sweet to see how nervous he was!!
He was very quiet and kept his hands in his pockets/near his pockets even while we were driving!
He was worried about what I was wearing!  I thanked him so much for sending me that text! It made me think to at least change my shirt and fix my hair!

Sorry that is so long!! Now for the fun part, PICTURES!!
